OUR QUALITY COMMITMENT

Built Around Customer Requirements

At Commercial Gear & Sprocket, quality begins with understanding the specifications of each component and continues throughout manufacturing and inspection.

We follow ISO-aligned quality practices and manufacture to AGMA standards as required — combined with dedicated gear inspection equipment and documented inspection procedures to verify that components meet customer requirements.

ISO-Aligned Quality Practices

Quality processes are structured around consistent manufacturing, inspection, and verification practices.

AGMA Standards as Required

Gears can be manufactured and evaluated to the applicable AGMA requirements specified for the project.

Customer-Specific Requirements

Customer drawings, purchase orders, tolerances, and specifications guide manufacturing and inspection.

Documented Inspection Procedures

We maintain written procedures covering inspection methods for multiple gear and component types.

Default inspection standard: unless otherwise specified on the customer’s drawing or purchase order, our quality procedures default to AGMA Q8, with additional tooth-element tolerances such as lead, profile, and spacing verified where required.

INDUSTRY AFFILIATION

Connected to the Gear Manufacturing Industry

Commercial Gear & Sprocket has long been a member company of the American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA), and we continue to manufacture to AGMA standards as required.

In 2025, AGMA and the American Bearing Manufacturers Association formed the Motion + Power Manufacturers Alliance (MPMA). The AGMA name and standards continue under MPMA, and Commercial Gear & Sprocket is listed in the MPMA member directory.
