U.S. TSUBAKI SPROCKETS & INDUSTRIAL ROLLER CHAIN
We supply U.S. Tsubaki power-transmission chains and sprockets for OEM, MRO, replacement and industrial equipment requirements.
For more than four decades we have been a U.S. Tsubaki distributor — but sourcing the stock component is only part of what we do. When a standard sprocket needs a different bore, keyway, drilled features or additional machining, we modify it in-house. When a stock sprocket cannot satisfy the requirement, our manufacturing capabilities provide a path to a fully custom sprocket.

Three ways we can support your requirement
Source U.S. Tsubaki industrial roller chains, stock sprockets and related power-transmission components.
Start with a stock sprocket and add the machining required to fit your shaft, equipment or existing assembly.
Move to a custom-manufactured sprocket when a standard stock configuration cannot satisfy the requirement.
Choose the right sprocket supply path
Not every chain-drive requirement needs a custom component. The starting point is identifying whether an available stock sprocket matches the chain and mechanical interface — or whether additional machining or custom manufacturing is required.
Off the shelf
A stock sprocket may be the right starting point when the chain size, pitch, number of teeth, hub configuration and bore arrangement correspond with an available Tsubaki product.
Stock configurations include plain bore and finished bore sprockets and multiple hub and mounting styles.
Typical information needed
Machined to fit
A standard sprocket may have the correct tooth geometry and chain compatibility but still need changes before it fits the equipment.
That gives another sourcing path when the sprocket is close to a standard configuration but the shaft interface or mounting details differ.
In-house modifications include
Made to your spec
When the tooth count, pitch, dimensions, hub configuration or mechanical interface cannot be satisfied by a stock component, we manufacture the sprocket to your specifications — including replacements for obsolete sprockets or ones no standard part matches.

U.S. Tsubaki chain products
We provide access to U.S. Tsubaki chain for industrial power-transmission and conveying applications. Chain selection depends on the equipment, operating conditions and corresponding sprocket requirements.
Widely used for mechanical power transmission and conveying in industrial machinery. Matching the right chain size and pitch to the sprocket is fundamental to the drive — we source Tsubaki roller chain for new equipment, maintenance and replacement.
For moisture, washdown, corrosive exposure or other conditions that call for an alternative to conventional carbon-steel chain. The chain construction is selected for the operating environment and application.
Specialized Tsubaki chain for applications where temperature, contamination, lubrication conditions or other environmental factors require more than a conventional roller-chain configuration.
For replacement work, identifying the chain is only part of the requirement — the mating sprocket should also be evaluated for compatibility and condition. Useful information includes:
Manufacturer or part number, ANSI chain number, pitch, strand configuration and required length.
Tooth count, pitch, bore, hub configuration, keyway and shaft dimensions.
Equipment type, operating environment and any known issue with the existing chain or sprocket.
U.S. Tsubaki stock sprocket options
U.S. Tsubaki offers a broad range of sprocket configurations for industrial chain-drive systems. We help source the stock product and, when necessary, add machining in-house.
Filter by what matters to your drive.
Industrial sprockets made to engage the rollers of the corresponding chain and transmit motion through a chain-drive system.
For demanding industrial conveying and power-transmission applications where engineering-class chain systems are used.
Tsubaki Smart Tooth® technology adds visible wear indicators to selected teeth — a visual reference for monitoring sprocket wear.
Wide-profile sprockets that increase chain-to-sprocket contact area — commonly used in heavy-duty drag-conveyor applications.
Configurations that match the pitch and roller arrangement of the selected chain, including sprockets for double-pitch chain.
Type A: plate style, no hub extension. Type B: hub extension on one side. Type C: hub extensions on both sides.
A starting bore without the finished shaft-interface features — ideal when the tooth configuration is right but the bore or mounting needs machining in-house.
Supplied with the bore machined for a defined shaft size and, depending on configuration, standard keyway and set-screw provisions.
Split construction simplifies installation and replacement where removing the shaft or dismantling surrounding equipment would otherwise be required.
Guide the chain and help manage chain routing and slack within an appropriate chain-drive arrangement.
Use a separate bushing interface between sprocket and shaft — another installation and maintenance option for industrial chain drives.
Stock component — machined for your equipment
A catalog sprocket does not always arrive with the exact shaft interface or mounting features your machinery needs.
We combine Tsubaki product access with machining under one roof — so a stock sprocket becomes the starting point for a modified component.
An existing stock bore can be machined to the required bore dimension when the sprocket provides an appropriate starting point.
Keyways are machined as part of preparing a sprocket for the specified shaft and mounting arrangement.
Drilled features and drilled-and-tapped holes when your sprocket specification requires them.
Additional machining when the stock component needs changes to integrate with the existing assembly.
Finishing operations incorporated where applicable as part of the modification requirement.
If the stock sprocket does not provide the required tooth configuration, dimensions, hub arrangement or other essential geometry, we evaluate the requirement as a custom sprocket manufacturing project instead.
We also provide CNC turning and milling, gear and sprocket manufacturing, and dedicated inspection for industrial power-transmission components.

Information for sourcing & replacement
The component and application information you provide helps us decide whether the requirement suits a stock product, a modified stock sprocket or custom manufacturing.
Pick your requirement
Choose the tab that matches your requirement and send whatever you have — part numbers, drawings, dimensions or the existing component.
Stock or replacement sprocket
Industrial roller chain
Modified or custom sprocket
Send the existing part information, drawing or sample with details about the mating chain and shaft. We will determine whether a stock Tsubaki component is available, whether a stock sprocket can be modified, or whether the project should move to custom sprocket manufacturing.

Yes. Commercial Gear & Sprocket has been a distributor for U.S. Tsubaki for more than four decades and supplies Tsubaki power-transmission chain, sprockets and related components for industrial applications.
Product categories include roller chain sprockets, engineering class sprockets, Smart Tooth® sprockets, drum sprockets, single- and double-pitch sprockets, Type A/B/C configurations, plain stock bore and finished bore sprockets, steel split sprockets, idler sprockets and bushed sprockets. Availability depends on the specific size and configuration required.
We provide access to Tsubaki chain products including ANSI industrial roller chain, corrosion-resistant chain and chain solutions for high-temperature or demanding operating environments. The right product depends on the equipment and application conditions.
Yes. We provide in-house re-machining for U.S. Tsubaki sprockets, including reboring, keyways, drilling, drilled and tapped holes, precision machining and related finishing where applicable.
A plain bore sprocket provides a basic bore that serves as the starting point for additional machining. A finished bore sprocket has already been machined for a defined shaft size and commonly includes the corresponding standard keyway and set-screw features for that product configuration.
Yes. We manufacture custom sprockets to customer specifications — up to 36 inches in diameter and in pitches from 1/4 inch through 2 inches.
Yes. We review the existing part, drawing and mating chain information to determine whether the requirement can be met with an available stock component, a modified stock sprocket or a custom-manufactured replacement.
Yes. We support OEM manufacturing as well as MRO and replacement requirements. You can source stock Tsubaki components while also accessing machining, sprocket manufacturing and gear-manufacturing capabilities when an application needs more than an off-the-shelf part.
For sprockets, provide the chain size or pitch, tooth count, bore or shaft diameter, hub configuration, keyway, mounting features and quantity. For chain, provide the chain number, pitch, strand configuration and required length when known. For modified or custom parts, include a drawing or sample whenever possible.
Send us the part number, drawing, dimensions or existing component information — we will review the requirement and determine the right sourcing or manufacturing path.
