About the role
Primarily responsible for efficient and effective production across the CNC lathes and mills.
Responsibilities & requirements
- Completely set up CNC lathes and mills; write "G" code programming via CAD/CAM software, and manage program files.
- Quality planning; set up chucks, toolholders, tooling and fixtures, and adjust tooling offsets as required to manufacture product meeting print specifications using standard measuring instruments.
- Adjust tool position, functions and settings, as well as feed and speed rates, as they relate to insert wear and chip formation.
- Understand and perform basic machine maintenance, assist with repairs as needed, and replace worn inserts, drills and tooling.
- Operate hand and power tools as required to perform job assignments.
- Strong knowledge of Brown & Sharpe MicroHeight a plus.

Gear Cutting Machinist
About the role
Perform basic operational functions of gear cutting machines across spur, sprocket, helical, bevel, worm and internal and external gears.
Responsibilities & requirements
- Mount, align and secure tooling, attachments and work piece on machine.
- Familiarity with cutting spur, sprocket, helical, bevel, worm, and internal and external gears.
- Install cutting tools in machines.
- Calculate and set machine controls to position tools in relationship to the work piece, and regulate factors such as cutting depth, speed, feed and coolant flow.
- Stop machine to change cutting tools and setup according to the required machining sequence, or to measure parts for conformance to blueprint specifications using precision measuring equipment.
- Maintain proper maintenance of machines, equipment and facilities, and keep them in proper condition.

Responsible for proper operation of gear equipment, routine maintenance, and quality of parts in process.
Responsibilities & requirements
- Responsible for proper operation of gear equipment: routine maintenance, lubrication, cleaning, quality of parts in process, and efficiency of machines in processing (tools are sharp, least downtime between cycles).
- Operate various gear manufacturing equipment: shapers, hobbers, bevel gear generators and related cutting tool sharpeners.
- Aid in other machine shop functions as deemed necessary within the person's capabilities.
- Some set-up experience is a plus; we can train the right candidate.

Responsibilities & requirements
- Customer invoicing; match invoices to our packing slips and customer orders, and check customer orders for line items.
- Supplier payment; match supplier packing slips to our purchase orders, and subsequently match invoices to purchase orders and vendor packing slips. Issue debit memos on returned goods or services.
- Debt collection; email or fax past due statements.
- Reconciliation of banking accounts.
- Process payroll using QuickBooks Assisted Payroll: weekly and quarterly data entry, year-end W-2 and 1099 reporting.
- Prepare data for company year-end reporting under the direction of the company accountant: 1099s, profit and loss statements, general ledger reconciliation and adjusting balance entries.
